Accessibility: A Comprehensive Guide

Standard Practices

Our web application adheres to standard accessibility practices, ensuring an optimal experience for all users. Key navigation functionalities include:

• Tab Navigation: Move between sections/modules using the Tab key.
• Shift+Tab Navigation: Navigate backward using Shift+Tab.
• Enter/Space: To enter a function or select an option, press Enter or Space.

Main Social Feed

• Navigate Feed: Use Tab to move through posts, comments, and other elements in the main social feed.
• Interact with Posts: Press Enter or Space to interact with posts, such as liking or commenting.
• Tiles: Navigate through tiles on the right side of the screen using the Tab key.

Keyboard Shortcuts

To enhance accessibility, we've implemented keyboard shortcuts for various functionalities. Familiarize yourself with the following shortcuts:

• Control+Shift+A: Open the Keyboard Shortcuts Guide.
• Control+Shift+H: Move to the Header/Banner.
• Control+Shift+E: Navigate through page elements.
• Control+Shift+C: Move to Page Content.
• Control+Shift+W: Access Social Wall Widgets/Assistance Panel.
• Control+Shift+F: Navigate to the Footer.

On the video below, you can see how we are navigating through the functions with the Tab key. Each module and function button is highlighted. To start an action such as by selecting the Show More button, selecting the Like button, or opening the Comments section, just click on the Space/Enter button. 

On the video below, you can see how we are navigating through the tiles using the Tab key. In order to move to a previous tile, we are using the Shift+Tab key. To enter a tile, just enter Space or Enter.
