Surveys Experience Updates

Survey Creation and Reporting Enhancements โ€“ Improved Control, Automation, and User Experience

๐Ÿ“ข Whatโ€™s New

  1. Slice & Dice Survey Reports by Parameters (Anonymous Surveys)
The Slice & Dice reporting functionality has been extended to support anonymous surveys. Users can now filter anonymous survey data using parameters like department or locationโ€”while ensuring individual identities remain protected.
Where to Find: Admin > Reports > Survey reports
    Available To: Content Generators
Further Information: Learn more in our detailed documentation.
Use Case: A department head reviewing an anonymous engagement survey filters results by department and job role. The Slice & Dice tool updates the charts accordingly but never exposes respondent identities, preserving confidentiality while offering actionable insights.

  2. Mark Questions as Required During Survey Creation
Survey creators can now define specific questions as required at the time of survey setup. This ensures that critical data is collected reliably, and respondents are clearly guided on which questions require an answer.
Where to Find: Admin > Surveys > Create or Edit survey > Questions
    Available To: Content Generators
Further Information: Learn more in our detailed documentation.
Use Case: An HR team designing a benefits feedback survey marks key questions on satisfaction and benefit usage as required. This guarantees they receive consistent responses needed to support analysis and policy improvements.
  3. Required Response Enforcement Before Submit
End users are now required to answer all mandatory questions before submitting a survey. The system validates responses at submission and alerts users if any required fields are left blank.
Where to Find: Applications > Survey
    Available To: Employees
Further Information: Learn more in our detailed documentation.
Use Case: An employee completing an onboarding survey tries to submit without filling out a mandatory question about training satisfaction. The system highlights the incomplete question and prevents submission until itโ€™s answered.
  4. Survey Auto-Close on End Date
Surveys will now automatically close at the end of the specified response period. Once the end date passes, the system displays a default โ€œSurvey Closedโ€ message, eliminating the need for manual deactivation.
Where to Find: Admin > Surveys > Create survey > Settings
    Available To: Content Generators
Further Information: Learn more in our detailed documentation.
Use Case: A manager schedules a 7-day engagement pulse survey. At midnight on the 7th day, the survey automatically closes, and respondents who try to access it afterward see a clear message that the survey is no longer available.

๐Ÿ”ง Enhancements

  1. Enhanced Survey Settings
Survey creators now enjoy improved flexibility in configuring their surveys. They can establish validation options, determine closing dates, manage anonymity settings, and choose the sender account.
Where to Find: Admin > Surveys > Create survey > Settings
    Available To: Content Generators
Further Information: Learn more in our detailed documentation.
  2. Prevent Changing Mandatory Status Post Approval
Once a survey is approved, the mandatory status of its questions is locked and cannot be altered. This ensures data consistency and protects the integrity of survey results during active collection.
Further Information: Learn more in our detailed documentation.
Use Case: An administrator finalizes and approves a compliance survey. Later, another team member tries to remove the mandatory status of a question but is prevented from doing so, ensuring that all originally required data remains enforced.
  3. Updated Choice Design in Surveys
Single and multiple-choice questions have received a refreshed visual design to improve readability, selection clarity, and overall user experience for respondents.
