Understand the Types of Notifications

This article explains the different types of Notifications presented to the JobPts user.

From the Home page in JobPts, the user will be able to preview the actions on the Social Feed from the Notifications button.

When the user clicks on the Notification Icon,  all the actions made on the Social Feed posts such as likes and comments will be presented to the appropriate user.

The user will receive a notification: 

• If someone likes the award that they have sent
• If someone likes the post they have published
• If someone comments on the post they have published
• If someone comments on an award they have sent
• If someone comments on a post where they have commented previously
• If you have been requested to provide feedback
• If you have been invited to participate in a moment that matter event
• If someone sends you a celebration message
• If someone created a moment that matter event for you
• If someone has created a memory book for you
• If you are a manager and one of your direct reports have a celebration created for them

When the user clicks on some of the notifications, the post for that particular notification will open. Once the user visits the post, the unread button should be marked as read.

For all posts for which the user didn't click to see them the unread button will appear unless the user clicks on 'Mark all as read'.

The user will be able to configure the presented notifications by going to My Profile -> Settings -> Notifications Settings. 

• Social Feed Notifications - To display notifications from all actions taken on your published social feed posts.
• Recognition Notifications -To display notifications for all recognitions being sent to you or in your team and organization. If you are a manager, you will receive notifications each time one of your employees is recognized through the platform. You will be informed if there is an approval request waiting for you to take an action!
• Nomination notifications -To display notifications when you have been nominated individually or as a part of a team. If you are a manager, you will receive notifications each time one of your employees is nominated through the platform. You will be informed if there is an approval request waiting for you to take an action!
• Nomination Information - To display notifications if you are given a role in a nomination program.
• Campaigns Notifications - To display notifications about participating in active peer-to-peer campaigns, subsidy campaigns and corporate health campaigns.
• Celebration Notifications -  To display notifications about your team colleagues when they have an upcoming celebration like an anniversary or birthday.
• Feedback Notifications - To display notifications if someone gave you feedback, or asked you to provide feedback.

The notifications will be visible for the last 30 days only.
