Understanding the platform and application integrations available out of the box for SAP customers
Our solutions like JobPts and Nurture deliver best-of-breed solutions with the best-in-class integration with SAPโs systems such as SuccessFactors. These integrations are prepackaged and certified by SAP every year for the last 6 years and there is no other vendor that provides such ability to integrate with SuccessFactors and run on the SAP platform. It is operated and run in the same SAP data centers and built on the SAP Business Technology Platform. Together with SAP, we ensure to deliver the highest enterprise security and data protection for customers for sensitive data such as employee recognition-related processes.
The solution is architected using the best that the SAP Business Technology Platform can provide in terms of cloud resources and technologies. It uses SAPโs HANA database for the transactional logic and analytical processing of all employee recognitions. JobPts is also a highly integrated application and uses SAP Business Technology Platform services to connect to SuccessFactors for talent management and Employee Central integration, Payroll integration (file-based or automated based on APIs), SAP WorkZone for collaboration and digital workplace, 3rd party vendors for fulfilment of merchandise, as well as all other rewards and incentives.
The applications are always deployed into customer owned tenant on SAP Business Technology Platform, which usually sits next to customer SuccessFactors data in the same data center. It also means that the data is always segregated from other clientโs data, and it never leaves SAP managed platform and data centers. JobPts uses SOAP and REST-based data protocols for application integration. With SuccessFactors we use OData interface for the employee master data integration via the SAP public APIs. For integration with Employee Productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, LinkedIn, we use REST interfaces. And for integration with eGift providers for redeem options, we use REST or SOAP interfaces.
JobPts is an extension of SuccessFactors, and as such, it leverages SuccessFactors log-in credentials and existing SSO mechanism by establishing SAML-based trust between the customer SuccessFactors tenant and the JobPts tenant on the SAP Business Technology Platform. Each user has a unique ID, and password policies are defined in SuccessFactors or the customer identity management solution used.
The solution has native and deep integration with any SuccessFactors module, including Employee Central where we get more employee data and attributes that be used to enrich the recognition programs and reporting. Through native API calls and intelligent services / events, our customers can streamline and automate many of their employee efforts using workflows triggered by data from their SuccessFactors solutions. On contrary, incorrect org or employee data, heavy middleware or disconnected HR processes and analytics can be the major showstopper to any successful R&R initiative and its adoption.
The overall design of the integration follows the principles to access only the minimul employee and organizational fields required to have a stable and working system. We can work together to decide which fields are included and added in the integration with SAP SuccessFactors. The minium set of fields that are described in the help center article listed below. Additional fields, if needed, can be added/removed after alignment with our Customer Success team during the onboarding and technical implementation of the new recognition system
