      Recognition News: Streamlined Approvals, Enhanced GIFs, and Better Nomination Management

      📢 What’s New

      1. Replace Giphy Integration with Tenor by Google
        Replaced the Giphy integration with a new integration using Tenor by Google. This update ensures continued access to GIF functionality, now powered by Tenor, which provides a rich library of GIFs for a more engaging user experience.

      🔧 Enhancements

      1. Handling Nominations Outside the Nomination Period

        Introduced a dedicated section for expired nominations. This allows managers to view and approve nominations that have moved beyond the nomination phase and into the voting phase, ensuring they are not overlooked. Pending approvals will now appear under this new section, preventing confusion and streamlining the approval process.

        Use Case: This feature addresses the confusion caused by nominations disappearing from the approvals section after the nomination period ends. Managers can now approve these expired nominations, ensuring all qualifying entries progress to the voting phase.

      2. Add Status Bar for Recognition Approvals

        From now there is a status bar to provide clear updates on the recognition approval process if the award is with two approval levels. Both 1st and 2nd level approvers can now track the progress and final decision of each recognition. This resolves the current gap where 1st level approvers lose visibility after approving an award, ensuring they are informed if the recognition is approved or rejected by the 2nd level approver.
