Create Recognition Messages with AI Assistance

This article explains how AI helps users create thoughtful and personalized recognition messages by generating suggestions based on brief input from the sender, making it easier to express appreciation in a meaningful way.

Login to JobPts -> Recognize -> My Available Programs -> Select a Program ->  Select recipient(s) -> Add message to the recipient(s) -> Write it for me 

*Note: To use this feature, the AI Message Assistant option must be enabled in the Admin Center under System Settings. More details can be found in the following article.

From the home page, select the Recognize tile and choose the program for your appreciation under My Available Programs list.

After following the steps for sending recognition described in the article, on the โ€˜Add message to the recipient(s)โ€™ page, you will find a key feature that helps users effortlessly create meaningful recognition messages for their colleagues with AI assistance.

*Note: The message can be plain text or include an eCard/GIF, but the Write it for me option will always be available to assist you.

*Important: This button appears in both the โ€œText Messageโ€ and โ€œeCardโ€ tabs, but if the feature is disabled from system settings, the button will be completely hidden from the interface.

Once the 'Write it for me' is clicked, a modal will open where the user is able to:

  • Add a short Context input: Where the user is asked to briefly describe the purpose or reason for the recognition. Itโ€™s a required fieldโ€”AI wonโ€™t generate any content unless something is entered here.
  • Recognition Tone: 
  1. Appreciative (default) โ€“ creates a message that is motivational and uplifting, emphasizing growth, leadership, or impact โ€” great for recognizing someone who went above and beyond.
  2. Friendly โ€“ creates a message that feels casual, warm, and conversational โ€” perfect for peers, teammates, or informal moments of appreciation.
  3. Professional โ€“ offers a more formal and polished output, making it ideal for cross-functional recognition or when a message needs to feel more structured and respectful.

In the bottom-right corner of the modal, users can see how many AI-generated messages they have used out of their total monthly allowance.

Users can review the result, make edits, or insert it directly into the main message composer. If the user wants a different version, they may click โ€œRegenerateโ€ to get an alternative suggestion.

Available Options After Generating a Message with the 'Write it For Me' Feature:

      • Use the Message into the recognition form or
      • Regenerate (requires confirmation)

*Note: Each regeneration counts toward the user's monthly AI message limit. Before proceeding, a confirmation message will appear asking the user if theyโ€™d like to continue.

If the user reaches their monthly limit, the AI feature is disabled until the counter resets. The โ€œWrite it for meโ€ button will be inactive, showing this message on hover:
โ€œYouโ€™ve used all your AI-generated messages for this month. It will be available again next month.โ€

Once AI generates a message, it counts toward the userโ€™s monthly limit immediatelyโ€”even if the user doesnโ€™t insert it into the recognition composer. This applies if the user:

  • Clicks the โ€œXโ€ to close the modal

  • Navigates away from the page

  • Closes the modal, page, or if the session expires without further action

*Note: Both Generate and Regenerate will follow the maximum character limit set for recognition messages.

To send the message, the user simply clicks the Send button. The recognition details will then be displayed on the next pageโ€”Process Confirmation.
