Recognition Experience Updates

Contribute to a more user-friendly and customizable recognition experience

๐Ÿ“ข Whatโ€™s New

  1. Enable Two Levels of Approval in Nomination Programs

Introduced a two-level approval process in nomination programs. Nominations requiring approval must exclusively include either individual or team nominees, not a mix. For individual nominees, the approval is handled by the recipient's manager at the specified level. For team nominees, the sender's manager handles the approval at the specified level.

Where can you find it: Admin & Approvals

Accessible for user type:  Admin Users & Application > Approvals

Reference documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

Use Case: In a large company, the new two-level approval process ensures only deserving nominees will reach to the ranking phase. Individual nominations require approval from the recipient's manager and then a higher-level manager. Team nominations follow the same process but with the sender's manager. This ensures fairness and integrity, filtering out unqualified nominees and highlighting true excellence.

  2. SMS for Announcing Nomination Winners
An option to send SMS notifications to nomination winners. Admins can enable this feature in the Module Configuration tab under System Settings, allowing SMS as a method for announcing winners.

Where to Find It: Admin Center > Manage Nomination Programs > Create/Edit Nomination Program

Accessible for User Type: Admin Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

Use Case: Announcing nomination winners can be more effective when done through SMS, especially for employees who may not check their emails regularly. By enabling SMS notifications, admins ensure that winners receive their announcements promptly and directly on their mobile devices.

  3. Personalized Wrap Up Sharing for End Users
End users can now access and share personalized summaries of their yearly and quarterly achievements directly on the My Awards page. They can easily download these summaries as PDFs or share them on professional platforms like LinkedIn. This empowers employees to highlight their significant contributions and accomplishments within and beyond the organization, enhancing visibility and recognition for their hard work.

Where to Find It: Application > My Awards

Accessible for User Type: All Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation

Use Case: Employees can showcase their achievements professionally and effectively by sharing personalized yearly and quarterly wrap-ups, amplifying recognition and celebrating success throughout the organization and beyond.

  4. 1:1 Recognition Limit
We have implemented a 1:1 recognition limit, which restricts 1:1 transaction between users while not limiting the overall number of recognitions a user can send or receive. This enhancement encourages diverse recognitions to be shared among all users, ensuring that everyone is included in the recognition process.

Where to Find It: Admin Center > Manage Recognition Programs > Create/Edit Recognition Program

Accessible for User Type: All Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

Use Case: The 1:1 recognition limit encourages a culture of inclusive recognition by restricting 1:1 transactions between users. This means that users are encouraged to share recognitions with a wider audience, promoting a more diverse and inclusive recognition process. By allowing unlimited recognitions overall, users can still send and receive recognition freely, but the focus is on spreading recognition across the entire user base, rather than limited to 1:1 interactions.

๐Ÿ”ง Enhancements

  1. Reworked 'My Awards' Page
Reworked the 'My Awards' page to enhance usability and visual appeal, providing a fresh design update across the entire page. This includes a summary of total recognitions for the quarter or year, a newly designed section for redeemed rewards, and a revamped incentives section now renamed 'My Incentives'. The update maintains the same content but introduces significant improvements in the technical background and overall layout.

Where to Find It: Application > My Awards

Accessible for User Type: All Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

  2. Reworked โ€˜Sent Awards' Page
We have reworked the 'Sent Awards' tile to enhance usability and visual appeal, providing a refreshed design across the entire page. This includes consolidating team awards into a single tile for easier access and introducing an intuitive icon to view team members directly within the tile. The new design improves navigation and readability, ensuring that all details are easily accessible without navigating away from the main page. Backend improvements enhance performance, while a cleaner interface with direct modal views for team members improves usability.

Where to Find It: Application > Sent Awards

Accessible for User Type: All Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

  3. Description Field in Award Reasons for Wrap-Up

Introduce an additional description field in the create and edit Award Reasons section. This field will provide context for each award reason specifically used in wrap-ups on the application site. When activated, this description will automatically populate in the wrap-up feature, enhancing the clarity and impact of award recognitions.

Where to Find It: Admin Center > Configuration & Branding > Award Reasons

Accessible for User Type: Admin Users

    Reference Documentation: documentation.

  4. Ability to Announce Nomination Winners in Segments

We have introduced the ability to announce nomination winners in segments. When a winner is announced, the row for that winner will be "frozen" to prevent duplicate announcements. However, this does not restrict other admins from announcing winners for different segments or countries that have not yet been announced.

Where to Find It: Admin Center > Manage Nominations > Ranking > Announce Winners

Accessible for User Type: Admin Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

Use Case: Our client requires the ability to announce nomination winners from each country without limiting the number of announcements. However, this does not restrict other admins from opening the ranking and announcing winners from their respective countries, or even announcing additional winners from the same country if needed.

  5. Status Filter in Manage Nomination Programs Page
We have introduced two new filters on the Manage Nomination Programs page to enhance the user experience. The Nomination Step filter includes the status of the nomination program (Nomination, Voting, Final Ranking, Announcing Winners). The Program Status filter allows users to filter by the program's status (Active, Not Active).

Where to Find It: Admin Center > Programs > Manage Nomination Programs

Accessible for User Type: Admin Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

Use Case: Managing numerous nomination programs can be overwhelming, especially when trying to announce winners. With the new filters, admins can quickly narrow down the list to only those nominations that are active and in the phase of announcing winners. This makes it much easier to find the specific nominations they need, ensuring a smooth and efficient winner announcement process without sifting through an extensive list of programs.

  6. Minimum Character Limit Validation for Messages
We have implemented a minimum character limit for messages across various pages, including recognition, celebration, sent awards, and boost posts. Users will now be alerted when their messages do not meet the minimum length requirement, ensuring that messages are meaningful and impactful.

Where to Find It: Recognition Page, Celebration Page, Sent Awards Page, Boost Posts Page
Accessible for User Type: All Users

Reference Documentation: Learn more in our detailed documentation.

Use Case: By increasing the minimum character limit for appreciation messages, we aim to promote more thoughtful and meaningful communication. This enhancement encourages users to express their appreciation in a more detailed and thoughtful manner, moving away from simple and generic messages. As a result, the quality of appreciation messages is improved, leading to a more positive and engaging user experience on the platform.

  7. Dynamic Engagement Index Chart
Dynamic Engagement Index Chart that displays a dynamic value on the y-axis. This value reflects the highest percentage on a company level from the current results, based on the selected period range. Instead of using predefined values, the chart now adjusts to the highest engagement percentage within the specified period, providing a more accurate and dynamic representation of engagement levels.

Where to Find It: Application > Analytics

Accessible for User Type: All Users

  8. Alert for Message Quality Indicator (MQI)
Introduced an alert for the Message Quality Indicator (MQI). If MQI is activated and the message quality is not in the green zone (i.e., it is in the yellow or red zones), an alert will appear when the user clicks "Send message." This prompt encourages the user to improve the message quality before sending.

Where can you find it: Application > Recognize someone

Accessible for user type: All Users

Use Case: End users are not always aware of the MQI, which assists them in composing high-quality messages. This alert ensures that users are aware of the quality indicator, prompting them to revise messages that fall below the green zone. By encouraging improvements before sending, we enhance the overall communication quality.
